This cosy two-bedroom bach in Parapara isn’t a five-star luxury stay — and that’s exactly part of its charm. It’s a genuine older-style Kiwi bach with all the simplicity and character that comes with it.
This is a traditional little bach that feels familiar from the moment you arrive. It has the character and quirks you’d expect from a classic Kiwi bach and offers something that can sometimes be hard to find these days — a simple, uncomplicated place to holiday.
It’s somewhere you can genuinely relax, settle in and make yourself at home.
The Space
Sleeping up to four guests, the bach has two bedrooms:
Bedroom One – 1 double bed
Bedroom Two – 2 single beds
It’s an ideal setup for a couple, small family or friends wanting a comfortable and affordable base for their Golden Bay holiday.
The living spaces are simple and relaxed, with everything you need to settle in and enjoy your stay.
This is the sort of place where you can arrive, unpack the essentials and switch straight into holiday mode.
Golden Bay is made for holidays at a slower pace, and Parapara is a wonderful spot to base yourself while you explore.

One Little Bach Quirk…
In keeping with the true old-school bach experience, there’s one little quirk worth knowing about.
During periods of heavy or prolonged rain, the low-lying area around the bach can experience some surface flooding. Our tip? If the forecast is looking wet, throw the gumboots in the car and embrace the adventure!
Sunshine, sandy feet, rainy days and muddy gumboots — it’s all part of a good old-fashioned Kiwi bach holiday.
So pack the togs, jandals, gummies and a good book, and come enjoy Golden Bay the old-fashioned way.
COST PER NIGHT:
Peak Season (mid Dec – end Feb): Min 1 night stay
$300 per night for 4 guests
Shoulder Season (March–April, Oct–Nov): 1 night stay
$220 per night for 4 guests
Holidays and long weekends such as Easter will be a min of 2 nights.
Linen is included.
Note: property is only available September to April.
